OVERVIEW
The Leopard 44 represents Robertson and Caine’s latest innovative developments with modern features not yet seen on production catamarans all while remaining committed to the tried and tested features that have made the Leopard line one of the most sought after brands of catamarans in the world.
The most significant modification on the Leopard 44 is the addition of the open forward cockpit with direct access from the saloon. Unique to production catamarans, this feature offers increased visibility, ventilation, and a significant new approach on adding increased living space in an ergonomic and safe design feature.This lounging area has a fixed overhead bimini for protection against the elements, forward door for direct access to saloon, splash cover, and drain. Furthermore, the forward door combined with large portlights in the windscreen allow for ventilation in the saloon, even during a tropical downpour, where the forward bimini prevents water entry. Allowance has been made for drainage by means of a large sump and underwing scuppers, and the forward cockpit door has additional dog clamps to ensure water tightness in heavy sea conditions.
In addition, there is provision for installing a splash cover to deflect the worst seas from entering the cockpit.
The Leopard 44 is available with two spacious guest cabins to port with the starboard hull offering options of an entirely dedicated luxurious and spacious owners’ suite or a 2 cabin configuration. She is focused on performance, comfort and offers an abundance of outdoor space.

We also offer a selection of optional items, such as air conditioning, water maker or washer-dryer.
CONSTRUCTION
Robertson and Caine use a proven GRP sandwich construction with a vacuum bonded balsa core, providing high rigidity, impact resistance and buoyancy. The deck and bulkheads are bonded to the hull with advanced adhesives and glass tabbing is applied in high stress areas, to ensure maximum strength.
The hull laminate is light and durable resulting in a dynamic weight-carrying capacity and excellent motion reaction of the hull, yet is also strong for peace of mind when sailing.
Our catamarans contain all of the top features that sailor's desire, including blue water capability, great performance, solid construction, a superb anchoring system, excellent ventilation, high quality equipment, large tank capacities (standard) and a standard hard top on all models. Standard equipment can be enhanced by a range of quality optional items including generator, air-conditioning, water-makers and more.
